Healing Fern Grove Painting

Acrylic on Vinyl record - I'd been thinking of doing an alien landscape scene and one night while falling asleep I saw a small grove of alien fern like trees. I realized that the 2 ideas should go together and painted this. On this planet these trees used to grow in t small circular pattern, just as you see here. They were considered magic, because when someone was sick and went inside to meditate, they almost always got better. It was eventually learned that the spores had healing properties. Now these groves are almost completely gone. Any found in the wild are harvested, because the wild trees work better as a cure when ground up than any of the farm grown trees. This is one of the very last wild groves known to exist, it is exists because it lives on private property.
