About The Artwork
Rebecca is faced with solitary confinement and is isolated in a town filled with local people. While the rest of them are immersed in revelry, this lady is drowned in her own thoughts and inhibitions as if being ostracized by the society. Contrary to what Rebecca is going through, the rest of the men and women are captivated into their individual lives. This painting has been inspired by one of the artist’s acquaintance who faced a similar situation during her stay in Melbourne, Australia and was often lonesome and detached from the society.
