Hidden Lake Painting

A dramatic and moody oil painting. Painted in an expressive style, this quietly powerful artwork reveals a glowing lake behind rolling hills, beneath a delicately layered sky. The light is falling from the right hand corner of the artwork, spilling gently through the clouds and revealing the water below. The rich green hills of the foreground are silent and still, creating a quiet moment and place, in which your mind can wander. When painting this piece, I felt that the light falling on the distant lake represented hope. My aim was to create a place of peace and tranquility. Painted with Michael Harding Professional artists oil colours, on a stretched cotton canvas. The sides are left a clean white (please see additional photograph). This artwork is signed and dated on the back and comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity. Ready to hang. Please note: this artwork was extremely difficult to photograph! The subtle colours vary, according to the light where it is hung. For shipping, this piece will be wrapped in tissue, foam board and recycled/able bubble wrap, and placed in a sturdy cardboard box.
