I think that psychological reunion of humans to nature by the removal of relevant resistances is an issue of great significance and I have been concerned about it for many years one way or another trying to promote it both on personal and social level through the artistic expression. During these years my paintings have pop art, op art, elements of expressionism that relate to the pop culture and the spontaneity. In my paintings, however, almost every traditional compositional principle (e.g. main subject, start and end, integral measure, proportions) is violated and every established hierarchy of the beings and spaces is abolished without any hesitation. In this way an instantaneous (visual) text is formed which though possessing the hinting freedoms of surrealism does not belong to it. The (let's say) vocabulary consists of stylized forms of cats, dogs, birds, insects, jellyfish, human faces, brains, soles of feet, palms of hands, flowers, balloons, or repetitions of abstract patterns, all these standing in place of the beings in general or, as wrightings of ideas or notions and not as representations of existing or abstract entities themselves.

I live in a suburb of Athens Greece, where the nature is persecuted. Most of the land is occupied by buildings, plants are few and animals banished.I dont like this condition which I judge as stupid and absurd. Possibility of true reaction is very limited and painting is my way to run away from this ugly situation in a place of dream sometimes bright, sometimes dark, but always special and unique. This is the place of my beloved creatures, animals and plants, who use to take my place in action, become observers of events, players with victorious teams, dancers in the best ballets, golden swimmers or divers of oblivion.Everything can happen yet not in disorder like in dreams, but systematically, persistently and repetitively to the final victory or disaster and for the pleasure of the spectator of the picture.
