About The Artwork

This series of watercolor portraits is inspired by the photography of Lee Jeffries of homeless people I want the viewer to think about homelessness and feel the humanity of the persons. Around the portraits is a writing of the declaration of human rights. The watercolor (Winsor & Newton Artist Quality is made on a solid thick (300 grms/m²) cotton acid free paper (Saunders Waterford paper) I think the vulnerability of watercolor fits the vulnerability of the homeless The paper is glued on an aluminium plate with an aluminium reinforcement structure and hanging hardware. Because of the glue this artwork must not be hanged above a heating element.
