About The Artwork

Ink Painting on Saunders Waterford Aquarelle paper, 300 g, Satin. No hanging hardware included. I admire Louise Bourgeois for her strong psychological and expressive art based out of her life experiences. I wanted to express my homage to the artist by this painting. The style is originated from my interpretation of her art and in the serie "Hommage à Louise Bourgeois" I wanted to show soulful artworks with both a strong and subtle expression and a female touch within its form and colourscheme. I painted with ink since I strived to achieve both a sensitive and vivid expression on the soft satin surface of the paper. My hope is that the wiewers will get a sense of belonging and the sense of a deep tribute to Louise Bourgeois but also find the artwork itself is appealing as a work of art.
