Art Description

Painting: Oil, Acrylic on Canvas, Wood.

Painting from the Artist's series Spatial history, and a continuation of the series River meets sea, Inspired by childhood memories of fishing for mackerel with her father at Hopes Nose ( a finger-like rocky tip at the northern end of Torbay in Devon) and exploring the fine line between pure abstraction and figurative recognition, between chance and control in the painting process.
Spatial history, is a series of autobiographical landscapes, which have emotional connection and significant place identity for the Artist.
Familiar loved places, people, events and the passage of time, which leave an atmosphere of nostalgia and saudade.

Signed on the canvas side and ready to hang.
