This painting is created on hand built stretchers with a panel for support then finished with a gallery wrapped canvas. Edges are finished a pale grey so no need to frame. Work comes wired and ready to hang. This painting is inspired by a multicultural mash up ranging from street art, folk and design. Vivid patterns and colors are meant to create a color and pattern language that reads with a velocity. The painting is rendered on fresco secco. It has an additional nuanced interest based on the nature of the plaster of paris surface. I sand certain areas to let the archeology peak through. There are metallic silver details on the white ground that shimmer and change depending on the time of day. Overall, this has a soulful, worked presence. My paintings have shown in museums in the US as well as numerous galleries and international art fairs. I work with art advisors around the world and have built art programs for designers such as Roman and Williams and Parts and Labor New York for large scale hotel commissions. Thank you for your time and interest! - Alicia LaChance
