About The Artwork

This painting won Honorable Mention in the first annual Art 2 Life International Academy Art Exhibition juried by Donna Seager of the Seager-Grey Gallery. Because of my interest in patina I prefer working on wood panels with acrylic paint, collage, and other elements that can be distressed. This painting utilizes many collage elements from the 11 years of my children's homeschool days, and it became about their journey to adulthood as well as referencing a kind of universal spiritual journey.
