About The Artwork
Hundertwasser was an Austrian born artist, architect,and conversationalist whose credo was "the straight line is Godless". He believed that perfectly straight lines were against nature. While doing my portrait of him, I realized that I used perfectly straight lines as part of the composition and it would be insulting to him. If you notice the further you go to the right in the painting, the more organically it becomes. This I felt would symbolize his influence on modern architecture.
