Husky bites its tail; acrylic on canvas; 2021; 50 x 80 centimeters; 19.685 x 31,4961 inches I created this artwork inspired by dog sledding! I have dreamed of doing this since childhood! And I did it! We visited the Husky kennel in Moscow and it was amazing! For me, this is a dream come true! But not only! One of the dogs was playing with its tail. And it reminded me of the historical significance in different cultures and mythologies. When animals bite their tail - this is the glabal essence of simple phenomena! The cyclical nature of all processes in the universe. But besides philosophy, it turned out to be a very good art! Which will also look good on your wall. This is how we went dog sledding - https://youtu.be/XoaWwj7NJiE And this video of the process of creating artwork will be available soon - https://youtu.be/jS9Sa_c8QK4 I sell this artwork on a roll, it makes shipping easier and cheaper. But if you want I can make a stretcher according to your wishes.

Artistic Statement I paint large scale contemporary pieces, up to three meters, that combine Expressionism and Abstract Expressionism. Also my artworks are land or seascapes and figurative art. The mix of styles creates is a dialogue between interior emotions and the outside environment. I like to think that all my art comes from a place of optimism and a celebration of life. I believe that the art and objects that we surround ourselves with can motivate people and infuse our lives with positive energy. I have always maintained, and tell my art students, that good art requires steady and constant effort and practice, so I make sure I paint every day. I am also constantly looking for ways to add new elements, stylistically and conceptually, to my work. Bio Aleksandra Cherepanova based in New York, but was born, grew up and was educated in Moscow, Russia. She earned her MFA in painting in 2007 from University Natalia Nesterova in Moscow and relocated to the US in 2020. Over the past decade Aleksandra had solo shows and participated extensively in group shows in NYC as well the US, Europe and Asia. Over this time, she has received Jury Prizes in many competitions as well as serving as judge for several exhibitions. Aleksandra’s work is also in museums and private collections around the world. Aleksandra now works mainly painting large scale abstract and semi-representational pieces. Additionally, she has an ongoing video series interviewing local NYC artists on YouTube. She also teaches art and painting privately and in several school districts in the NYC metro area.
