This painting depicts the image of a dusky evening looking across the bay. The aspect based on looking down from the top of a cliff across the water. the painting was based on the view across from Pollurian and Poldhu coves on the Lizard peninsula. Shadows and light falling on the distant cliffs, still tranquil waters, navy sea and pink hues in the sky. Layers of acrylic and ink paint peeping through, tiny details of mark making, pencil and charcoal lines. Muted tones of grey, navy, teal, and subtle hints of pink and lilac. A very subtle and beautiful painting which radiates a great sense of tranquillity and calm. My signature mark making of gentle scratched away strokes and areas of focus and energy.
