How many times do we say negative things to ourselves? Calling ourselves stupid for forgetting something, fat if we don't conform to society's idea of beauty, a failure if we make a mistake? These voices in our head are destructive. I was inspired by the quote, "Talk to yourself like you would talk to someone you love" by Brene' Brown. This is especially challenging when it comes to people with mental health issues. It's hard to move forward until we can change those nasty inner voices that are lying to us.
