This is an original painting using acrylic paint and finliner ink pen on wood panel. The word drawn in the painting is a Persian word which is pronounced "man" and it means "I". The inspiration behind the work: I think, it is okay to live a life others don't understand. That way I might lose some of you but I will find me, and that is a win!

Imanuel Scheiko is an Iranian visual artist. The current phase of his artistic journey began when he moved to Germany in 2009 and dove deeper into exploring the intersections of culture. Scheiko blends the ancient visuals of Persian carpet weaving with the complexities of life in Berlin. He draws direct inspiration from his experience as a wedding photographer and translator for refugees. The sobering chaos of iconic Persian patterns invites the viewer on a quest of perceptive discovery. Scheiko's work plays with elements of paradox; seemingly symmetrical and harmonious but ultimately human in its essence. The artist remains deliberately expressive in form and color, and at the same time engages with story and narrative. He uses these components to extend his culturally open approach to the viewer.
