In this painting, the rocks blend together exploring the structures between abstraction and representation. Making these landscapes has given me great comfort, and a space of well-being. The eye is always in movement, going back and forth within the transparencies.

Artwork is ready to hang‚ can be hung with or without a float frame, the edges are painted in blue.

Born in Montréal, Canada, I worked as a photographer for several years, than in 1995, I moved to Paris France, with husband and our 3 kids. I consider myself as a self-taught painter even though I took a few drawing workshops of live model and still life, and attended Sorbonne’s department of History of Art for a year. Studying the masters fed into my own creativity and inspired me more. I have this constant desire to create something, visual art has endless potential, and each medium it’s own characteristic, exploring these, is part of my creative process, and has become one of the things I enjoy most. Painting is a constant work in progress, I’m always learning and trying things out, and it’s a good way to keep creativity flowing. Sometimes subjects come from unexpected way, it’s the reflection of inner thoughts, it comes from a feeling, a mood, a state of mind, something I sense and that I want to express and share with a viewer. Other times, I let picture scenes and landscapes inspire me, I let it unfold over time, the ones that stick with me, are the ones I explore more fully. I always try to create work that allows people to lose themselves within it, and when it happens it’s very gratifying.
