My painting is inspired by the great masters of the Renaissance and Baroque, with a touch of Magical Realism, I use quality materials, canvases and pure cotton supports, I like to use tempera and acrylics as colors because they are expressive and imitate ancient painting well.

Marco De Mirto was born in San Cesario di Lecce in 1979. In 1998 he graduated from the "Giuseppe Pellegrino" Art Institute in Lecce. He moved to Rome for a short period, to study Caravaggio and the Caravaggeschi in particular Jusepe De Ribera.
