Impossible House Painting

I worked on a group of 4 paintings at the same time, I set up parameters where each time I touched one of them I had to leave a mark on another. The first several rounds of this had the paintings feeling incredibly energized and loose, Afterwards I went back through each piece and rotated it on the wall and started in with a series of other quickly made marks. That is the fun part of this series, then I went through and began making more conscious decisions with the paintings one on one to give them an individual feel. This piece developed as a house blown outwards, different planes and sides pushing out from a central point. All aerosols used on this piece were donated, as was the acrylics I went over them with. The canvas is from an earlier painting that had lain dormant for awhile, one of the figures still visible in the upper left corner.
