About The Artwork

Artist: Muriel Guilboa Diameter: 48 cm Weight-: 650 g Color: Multi-color (As shown in the image) Material: Wood Board, Acrylic Shape- Circle Painting Style: Aboriginal art Finish: Finished with varnish Painting: Made on wood board with delicate acrylic paint This is an Australian aboriginal inspired original acrylic painting. There’s the symbol of meeting place in the center of the painting. The center is the map of Australia. This painting is intricate, calming and luminous. Some following Symbols have been used in this unique aboriginal painting. Emu: The Emu (large flight-less bird) footprint is like an arrow that represents its distinctive three toed track. Aboriginal Australians have traditionally hunted the emu for their daily needs i.e. food, weapons, leather, string, lubrication, bush medicine, ceremonial dress and bush tucker. Witchetty grub; A Witchetty grub is a simplified illustration of the larva, usually emphasizing the sections of its body and head. Bush tucker; Bush food, affectionately known as 'bush tucker', refers to food native to the Australian bush that was traditionally used as a source of nourishment by the Aboriginal inhabitants of this land. Moon; The Native Moon Symbol is the protector and guardian of the earth. Its spirit watches over us and can change our moods. Meeting place; It is culturally a significant site to Aboriginal people where they meet, gather around and sitting in circles. Goanna; The goanna is usually represented by a roundel to indicate the burrow. The goanna and its eggs are a principal food source. There are many other ways this symbol is represented, depending on the artists region. Please note that the colors of the paintings might look slightly different on your monitor/screen/mobile as to what they look like in real life. Aboriginal art is closely linked to religious ceremonies or rituals. It includes work made in many different ways including painting on leaves, wood carving, rock carving, sculpting, ceremonial clothing and sand painting. It is an important part of the world's oldest continuous cultural tradition, based on totems and the Dreaming. Symbols are used in aboriginal art, to show different things. While the meaning of these symbols is often shared, they can change meaning within the same piece, and they can be different between different groups. Aboriginal art is a language in itself, communicating through beautiful patterns. This started around 30,000 to 40,000 years ago. Dot paintings are now internationally recognized as unique and integral to Australian Aboriginal Art. Dot painting originated 40 years ago back in 1971. Note: This eye catchy aboriginal art work is available in different sizes, colors and designs etc. on your special demand. So please feel free to contact me. Thank you for checking out my shop! I hope this artwork will make you feel content and soothe the soul. “I've been studying, researching and fascinated by Aboriginal art for many years. I'm very attached to the simplicity, the natural flow and the harmony between man and nature as expressed in Aboriginal art. After countless hours of reading and composing I mastered the courage to bring my admiration to this culture by dotted painting. Please have a look at my collections and enjoy your valued purchasing item with me. I am sure your friends and family will like your choices from my collection.” -Muriel Guilboa

I was born in Paris - France in 1960, when I was 9 years old, my father, who all his life was in the shadow of the Holocaust that took his family from him decided to make Aliya (immigration) to Israel. In retrospect, I realized that my experiences as a child - a new immigrant influenced (among other things) my artworks. My infinite search for the whole within the imperfection, attracted me to a combined art of abstract style, pointillism, dotted mandalas, modern-contemporary art, and my highlight, the art that makes me feel most complete: Aboriginal-inspired art. When I walk into my studio and start a new artwork, I am usually in a meditative state, I am connected to the totality and cosmic wisdom that my color points evoke in me and in most cases I do not know what the end result will be. My dotted art is perfect mostly thanks to its imperfections and I hope my soul, my feelings, my love, my energies break through my art.
