About the Painting: An indigenous family lead a flock of sheep in search of food. Magnificent Chimborazo, the highest peak in Ecuador, can be seen in the background. Focus and Technique: The artist defines his artwork as clean and transparent where harmony between space, figure and background is always maintained. Through his paintings he expects to provoke a peaceful and relaxed state on viewers. His work has been influenced by three artistic styles: Indigenismo, Costumbrismo (sometimes anglicized as Constumbrism) and Paisajismo (landscaping) from a minimalist conception. Connections between man and nature are always found in the artist´s paintings.
