I have always been fascinated by the mystery of the human face — how eyes can hold grief, tenderness, rage, desire, or entire untold histories.
My paintings are emotional portraits suspended somewhere between reality and the inner world. Through distortion, texture, and raw expression, I try to reveal the soul behind the mask — fragile, powerful, human. I am not interested in perfection. I am interested in truth.
I am a self-taught painter originally from Russia, living in Canada since 2018. Art has been part of me for as long as I can remember. As a child, I was constantly drawing — art was my personal escape.
Painting is the place where time disappears. It brings me back to the present moment, back to myself. Every portrait I create is an attempt to capture something invisible — vulnerability, tension, longing, memory, silence. The emotions people hide behind appearance and everyday performance.
My work is deeply personal and emotionally driven. Each piece is a dialogue between chaos and beauty, strength and fragility, darkness and light. I see art as a way to connect with what is most raw and honest within us.
My journey has never been the easiest one, but it is the one that makes me feel truly alive. And I continue to follow it with passion, curiosity, and courage.
