"Intersecting Paths" is a powerful piece from Yehor Lemzyakoff's series "New History of Ukraine." This acrylic on canvas measures 70 x 70 cm and features bold, intersecting lines in blue and yellow, evoking the national colors of Ukraine. Created in 2022, the artwork captures the dynamic and complex journey of Ukraine's modern history and spirit. Ready to hang, the painting is delivered in a protective box. Inspiration and Intent: Drawing from the vibrant history and resilient spirit of Ukraine, this painting symbolizes the intricate and interconnected paths of its people's aspirations, struggles, and victories. The geometric lines and vivid colors reflect both the unity and the diverse experiences that forge a nation's identity over time. Artistic Choices: Lemzyakoff utilizes a stark, graphic style with a limited but striking color palette to emphasize clarity, energy, and the force of collective movement. The use of acrylic paints gives the colors a vivid depth and durability, capturing the enduring hope and unyielding strength of the Ukrainian people. Physical Details: This painting features a textured surface achieved through the layered application of acrylic, enhancing the visual impact and depth of the artwork. The quality materials ensure longevity and preservation of color intensity.

Once I was asked: “What is the truth?”. I did not understand the question. What is art? Through our lives we, in one form or another, are trying to discover the meaning of our existence, to satisfy our curiosity and achieve satisfaction through such achievement. It is one's inevitable limitations and inhibitions which frustrate such efforts but which also frequently drive people with artistic spirits to create outside their comfort zone and in some extreme cases leads even to their destruction. I would like to see my art as an unrestricted journey of self-discovery and exploration in search of elusive answers to those and other questions which are often more difficult to understand than to answer. I remember once, my emotional, and admittedly elaborative art expose about my paintings, was abruptly interrupted by a friend, and an artist, saying: “You should not explain the art. The true art speaks for itself”. Forget prolonged explanations. Art is an expression in itself. Just as much as reality is just merely our perception. Is it not?
