Into the Blue - 03 Painting

I consider painting like the natural state of inhaling and exhaling, a meditative exercise, during which thoughts and images are in a perpetual flux. In turn, they form the movement of shapes and colors on the canvas. Without focusing my attention on a specific topic a fluidity is allowed, an inner journey of self-exploration, a sensual evocation of nature. As my main source of inspiration I’m interested in details from nature, rather than specific landscapes. Branches, leaves, stones, clouds, waves blend together to form an abstract whole. The material on which I paint, fiberglass cloth, is often used in France for the renovation of home interiors to hide flaws in walls. For me it invokes the universe of private spaces, of domestic environments, enriching the visuals with its tactile presence.
