About The Artwork
I always start with a background and let it tell me what it is going to be. The background of this piece was so peaceful and soft. I knew the fish needed to be enjoying the serenity of the splatter. The pink and white blossoms were fun and I had fun creating depth through the flowers. My favorite things about this piece are the luminescent colors and the connection that the 2 koi are sharing. As with all my paintings it is named after a song, Into the Mystic is a Van Morrison song.
