Here I am trying to show the innocence of a young, yet maturing girl. I have kept to warm "earthy" colors. IRMA is a one of a kind, original work of art. It is produced using acrylic paint and India ink. I have stayed with my usual pallet of warm “earthy” colors. The background has been digitally reproduced and laminated to the 4 mil archival grade mylar and then the portraits and shadow were painted over the background. I only sell original work so there will only be one original. The painting is signed on the front and comes with a signed certificate of authenticity. This painting will be shipped in a tube. The artwork is very easy to mount on any type of board: plywood, masonite, foamboard, etc. I include simple mounting instructions with each piece that I sell and also I include mounting tape, a hanging strip and a drywall hanging device. Everything that you need to mount your painting except the board.

I am an architect by education, and profession. I have practiced architecture for over three decades. A good deal of my experience as an artist developed from doing architectural plans and illustrations. In addition to my architectural work, I have always enjoyed producing works of "visual art". It has provided a wonderful counterpoint to the precise work involved in architectural drawings: the highly precise vs. the "free and spontaneous". I still work with the same media that I have used in architectural work: India ink, graphite pencil and acrylic paint on archival quality mylar film. I like for my work to show either emotion or action.... Occasionally both. Emotion is usually captured in a close-up portrait or perhaps full figure drawings. Action is depicted in dance or sporting events. Other than that, I don't have any deep philosophical ideas about my art except that I want to produce works that people will enjoy and be proud to have hanging on their walls.
