About The Artwork
This resin, acrylic, ink, sand painting is part of the Island Arrival Series. The water is a constant source of inspiration for me. I love flying over water; seeing the translucency and change of colour with the various depths. Fluidity and depth are shown in a watery palette. In these aerial perspective pieces, ocean views with sand and islands are depicted. Each painting is inspired by flying over tropical waters, on the way to various island destinations. This series occupies a space in between abstract and realism. Each piece has a super high gloss resin finish. This piece has layers of colour which suggest waves on a sandy shoreline from high above, and a depth of detail to it that begs the onlooker to stay awhile and look deeper. Purified sand has been used in the painting. This painting is painted on a raised, Canadian birch wood panel with a 1.75 inch profile. This painting is signed on the back. It has been professionally finished, edged and ready to hang on your wall. No need for framing. Each original arrives with a Certificate of Authenticity.
