This painting invokes one of the most enigmatic figures in European history: Joan of Arc, an illiterate French peasant girl from the obscure village of Domremy in Lorraine who only lived to the age of 19, yet transformed the fate of a nation. "One life is all we have and we live it as we believe in living it. But to sacrifice what you are and to live without belief, that is a fate more terrible than dying." Though she was condemned to death as a heretic and burned at the stake, she remained with her belief until the end, holding a cross in the flames.

My desire to be a painter began since I was a small child. I use painting as a daily meditation and I take an intuitive approach to allow the process to become the subject in my abstract works. Music serves as a foundation to my art, influencing my process to create a departure from reality in restful, lyrical and even energetic compositions.
