Journey III Painting

Art is about interpretation; and creating art is about taking the viewer to another place or time. Through my artwork I try to do the same. Many feelings, especially the most intense ones, are difficult to put into words. I portray these complicated human emotions, feelings and power visually through Abstract Forms, Colors, Strokes and Textures. The Vibrations that our thoughts, words and actions create, that seep into the universe. I take inspiration from the nature and from how I feel or how I have felt about things in the past to make semi abstract and abstract works. It can be a flying uncontrollable cloth like thoughts, the Labyrinth of choices, a sudden inner peace enveloping the mind or the following of path leading us inside our hearts. My intent is to make art that stirs the soul and connects us not only to the beauty of human experience, but also to what lies beyond our sight. Color and forms play a very important part in my works. By exploiting the expressive power of color by using them in different combinations and hues, I try to envelope the viewer when viewed from a distance. What then emerges on the canvas is an internal language that is highly emotional and personal, yet at the same time universal. It speaks of places unseen, but at the same time comforting and familiar...like memories of a place we feel we have been before, but can't quite recall all the details of the experience. While painting I like to blur the boundaries. Blur anything that divides, separates or creates distinction. The merging of the object and subject by taking them in background and bringing forth the expression, idea and sentiment in limelight.
