Just a game? Painting

It is a game with foreand and background, with the front and background. At first glance, a pattern-like arrangement of bird motifs can be seen. It seems like a stencil-like ordering system reminiscent of a flock of birds. As if through a curtain, the view glides onto the actual image : Female figures based on the originals of Goya embody old master lyrical subjects. The second look, however, reveals irritating things, as the female character holds a smartphone in her hand. As an expression and object of the present everyday and leisure culture, the smartphone thus dissolves the "old world order" and virtually moves the image of the Old Masters into the present, confronting the viewer with the "today's world order".
