About The Artwork
First I wanted to buy one of these facinating animals and when I startet to deal with. I realised that it would be more work than a little child....or equal. So I decided just to paint them till my obsession subsides. It's inspired by the beauty and misery of the Sphinx Cats. It forces the viewer to look deeper into the cats eyes for getting its intention. Is the cat a human or a cat? Looks proud or deadly sad? Is it a crystal skull the hand lays on? I really love the geometric pattern with its nice and smooth colours in the background which let it appear a bit psycodelic.
