About The Artwork

Acrylic painting, 3D details, dry pigments Gold and French outremer blue, varnish. - Cardboard canvas in cotton - On the back: seal "Almakan certified original" - The painted and varnished wood frame is part of the artwork. - Ready to hang, delivered with Certificate of Authenticity sealed with wax. - Artwork handmade with love & sun in South of France (My artworks are painted in whole or in part with the golden ratio). Klein d'oeil – Clin d’œil à Klein (Wink to Klein). I am a self-taught artist and have never studied art or the masters of art. In the first "serious" artworks I made -especially those between 2011 and 2018- the public most often associated me with 2 artists: Enki Bilal and Yves Klein. Bilal, for my futuristic drawings and stories no doubt. Klein, for my blue paintings... Thanks to the public, I learned from these two artistic worlds that I discovered much later. With time I can say that my Reason is close to Bilal and my search for Universality to Klein... to whom I dedicate this wink, window of the soul. The rest belongs to me ;)

Born and living in the South of France, by the Mediterranean Sea, a promising artist in the performing arts since the age of 10, Almakan first embraced the more practical path of international business management, the artistic career being considered a destination to nowhere. An engineer with a degree in geopolitics and strategic foresight, she ran businesses for 20 years, mainly in the fields of new technologies and communication, before deciding to devote herself exclusively to Art and try her luck as a full-time artist in 2016. "Extracting Beauty from chaos and creating the future" is the whole soul of Almakan's artwork. Her world is blue and black, tinged with sunlight, just like her native land. Her relationship with the future conditions her technique, she paints on canvases voluntarily uneven, sculpted with plaster or worked like a wrinkled skin in the image of our planet Earth, this blue stone... and like our existences, rarely smooth. Obsessed with possible futures and the winding paths that shape humanity much more than the highways, she never stops exploring them by all the means given to her, combining painting and curiosity drawings.
