About The Artwork
This work draws from the qualities of water and its associations with dreams and emotion. As form and movement becomes distorted and twisted by the movement of water particles so does perspective of oneself and the world. Koi is about self reflection and memory, and how memory also morphs and changes over time. This piece is sealed with a lustrous high gloss Epoxy Resin topcoat that magnifies the underlying textures and fluidity of the painting mediums.
