The wildness of my life, involving illness and the worldwide pandemic, has made me look at nature differently, more intensely. The magic happening in each moment takes me to an imperative need to capture it. An indescribable absorbing moment in the here and now. This is how flowers first caught my eye. From their poetry, the series on flower souls was born. To avoid the « cheesy » side of the theme, I suggest shapes that call to dream - as I try to make the world aware of the fragility of life. A delicate breath.

Visual artist photographer Born in 1967, a childhood spent between Antibes in the south of France and holidays in Brittany, a professional career in Paris and beyond the seas, I now live on the Ile de Ré, surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean. My interest in art started with playful and sweet sketching in a family atmosphere. This taste for aesthetics entered my professional life quite quickly. Journalist, artistic director, editor, my favorite subjects have always been images and words put into rhythm in a text, a layout, a montage, a program or a book. Then came the time of experimental work to practice, to feel, to get inspired. From various technical courses and workshops done in Paris and abroad - a long expatriation in the Middle East between Doha and Beirut - to obtaining a license in visual arts at Paris-Sorbonne University, abstract art felt as an obvious first choice leading me to the vastness of freedom. Creating the invisible, suggesting spaces that are caressed by the light and the vibration of colors is to me allowing a reading of emotions at the moment of creation. I was mainly working on large format acrylic canvas at the time. Then, the rediscovery of my old silver Olympus camera in an unopened box gave me a taste for the object, for the technique. Crystal clear, meant to be. When the unseen becomes visible through the frame The wildness of my life, involving illness and the worldwide pandemic, has made me look at nature differently, more intensely. When living in Lebanon, I already worked with photographic transfer, but later on this technique only became a component of the canvas. Today, the image in all its dimensions, light, colors, framing, format, becomes my raw material that I experience, play with, retouch, repair, protect with pigments, inks, glazes or other experiments until I let the movement be.
