This luminous portrait is a representation of deep inner strength and the visible manifestation of energy. Rose Soria is a Swiss painter based in the south of France. Always drawn to artistic expression, she explores the sensitive realms of emotion, identity, and human presence through painting. Her work is rooted in an intuitive exploration where color, texture, and gesture become the vehicles of a universal language. At the heart of her work lies the gaze. Whether intense, silent, powerful, or fragile, her portraits invite an intimate encounter with the other. Each face becomes the reflection of a story, an emotion, or an inner state, transcending the individual to reach a profoundly universal dimension. Rose Soria's approach is based on a constant dialogue between mastery and spontaneity. The layering of colors, the interplay of transparency, and the effects of texture create vibrant compositions where light seems to emerge from the canvas itself. Her world oscillates between figuration and suggestion, leaving each viewer free to project their own sensibility onto it. Influenced by her diverse artistic background, nourished by drawing, writing, dance, and the observation of living things, she has developed a profoundly humanist body of work. Painting has become for her a space for inner exploration, a means of revealing what cannot be expressed in words. Through her creations, Rose Soria seeks less to represent the world than to reveal its emotional dimension. Her works invite us to slow down, to feel, and to reconnect with that invisible part that binds us together. For the artist, painting is above all a mirror of the soul. She is currently exploring three themes: Colors Upside Down: Using acrylics, she layers colors of varying opacity to create portraits rich in nuances. The Dance of Pigments: She prepares her canvas randomly, using combinations of pigments and allowing drips to flow, before imbuing it with the emotion of a face. Tone on Tone: Working with acrylics on unprimed fabrics, her portraits and nudes are explorations of the beauty and sensuality of the body, playing with the interplay between the model and the canvas.
