The “Event Horizon” exhibition, the second in the trilogy, takes its name from an astrophysical phenomenon designating the precise location where light and matter rush into a black hole. The title of the exhibition refers to the tipping point towards nothingness to figuratively designate a loss of information, the exhaustion of a resource or a variation between two parallel times. I was inspired by source images from archives depicting scenes of taxidermists or landscape painters working on making dioramas for natural history museums. The images were then taken by assembly and juxtaposed with current events or landscapes of my habitat. This series offers a reflection on the point of no return and the advent of a new world.
