ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Architecture is the concept of my works. I take floor plans, sections, facades and selected architectural spaces as a springboard to paint a journey towards abstraction and mystery. Shapes are not fully defined but suggested. The scenarios in my works are always empty; planes and structures make them up in overlapping shades creating different environments and atmospheres. Successive layers of oil painting are always present in my work. At the same time, the layers often take on another meaning and refer to different projects leading to the presence of two themes or forms on the same canvas, a migration of structures from one work to another, generating several spatial dimensions such as a detail of the Whitney Museum on a first layer referring to the roof of the Grand Palais. The image appears or retracts.

Luciana Levinton was born in Buenos Aires in 1977. She has a Bachelor in Architecture (Universidad de Buenos Aires), and has taken several art courses with renowned artists.Naci en 1977, en la Ciudad de Buenos Aires. Arquitecta graduada en la Universidad de Buenos Aires., FADU UBA, en 2004. De 2004 a 2015 estudie Pintura con Sergio Bazan, Mariano Sapia & Ariel Mlynarzewicz; Ronnie Landfield & Mary Beth Mac Kenzie en New York, Acuarelas con Frederick Brosen en New York, Clinica de Obra con Diana Dowek, Taller Documental en Programa de Artistas de Universidad Di Tella., Andres Di Tella; Dibujo con Ernesto Pesce. Nacida en 1977, en la Ciudad de BA. Arquitecta graduada en la Universidad de Buenos Aires., FADU UBA, en 2004. De 2004 a 2015 estudie Pintura en BA y NY con S.Bazan, M. Sapia & A.
