This work was inspired by a love interest and the days that involved a love affair. There is also a self-published book on my store on Blurb of the entire work a page dedicated to each of the paintings that make up the entire piece. (14" x 11" sheets of Arches watercolor paper bound with linen strips and bookbinder's glue in signatures of 12). The individual sheets are 'fixed' with a thin out mixture of water and clear acrylic medium to protect the paintings in place of framing and glass. the work is made to be installed with pushpins or magnets. Framing seems out of the question because of the size but who knows? Offers accepted. The work ships in a box. Folded up with a copy of the printed book.

Steven Plount (b.1952) is an American artist based in the Pacific Northwest. He is known for reductive geometric abstraction in the Neo Romantic genres of Tonalism, Landscape, and Gestural Abstraction. Plount’s work manifests decades of inquiry into the materiality of the painted object through a process of minimal abstract painting. His compositional structures are imbued with the touch of hand and brush in a calligraphic and painterly manner and are achieved using sensuous color and various gestures of the hand. The subtle and soft matte glow of the Beeswax offers a translucent surface that invites the eye to “look into it” materializing a unique vision for each viewer. The surface of the beeswax and its translucent nature emphasizes the natural transparencies and depths of the gesture.
