Breve Biografia
Augusto Ghiani in arte AuGhi nasce a Cagliari nel 1966, vive ed opera a Villacidro (Sardegna) Italia. Artista autodidatta, sin dall’infanzia coltiva la passione per il disegno . Nel 1976 a 10 anni grazie ad una suora che nota le sue capacità artistiche, creò la sua prima opera pittorica. Il suo vissuto itinerante lo porta: nel 1985/87 in Piemonte; dal 1987/2001 in Liguria.
Nel corso degli anni il suo percorso artistico non si ferma, affascinato dagli elementi nello spazio, studia la scultura, realizzando opere in pietra legno e metallo.
AuGhi, sempre attento a sperimentare ogni nuova forma espressiva ,nei primi anni ‘90 crea le sue prime opere legate alle cronache della vita sociale ,come pedofilia,inquinamento, omofobia, violenza sulle donne,guerra etc, completa il suo percorso artistico -intellettuale con la poesia.
Alla metà degli anni '90 è affascinato dalla tecnica mista “Quarzo in rilievo” che tutt’oggi predilige, personalizzando il suo modo di essere e di vivere l’arte. All’inizio del 2015, assieme ad altri 4 artisti, progetta e realizza il primo evento in Sardegna :Enoart, i “ Vinarelli” opere realizzate esclusivamente con colori ottenuti dai vini e derivati della viete. Affascinato dalla tecnica dei Vinarelli decide di unirla a quella che predilige: il quarzo così realizza e sperimenta la tecnica Enoquarz nel febbraio 2016 viene invitato a presentare i Vinarelli e l’Enoquarz alla VII edizione Strabiliarti , presso il Teatro Testaccio Roma, riscontrando molta curiosità e ottimi apprezzamenti sul suo lavoro artistico.
