La Luna y La Zorrita was inspired by full moon, desert flora, desert fauna, fables, and insomnia. The full moon makes our neighborhood nocturnal predators un poco locos! Or crazy! They often keep me up and I imagine them starring at me and wanting for me to share a snack with them. Their little hollow eyes looking at me like bottomless pits of desire and hunger. I imagine them thinking the moon is a big cheese wheel glowing in the dark like I once read of in Mexican fables.

I am a multi-media artist from Oro Valley, Arizona. I graduated from Texas Woman's University in spring of 1992 with a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts. I also have a Master’s in Bilingual Education from Southern Methodist University. My art work is an ongoing exploration of life and the world which surrounds me. I have always been fascinated with finding new ways of depicting emotions and moods through my use of line, movement, and texture. Creating art work is like a puzzle that I am constantly trying to solve.
