The Pause The long-awaited moment, at the same time so vulnerable, nevertheless, an essential ritual for life. Moments in which we remember what we are; moments of connecting with our environment. Pause is an involuntary meditation. The artist, inspired by his life experiences, presents us with Pausa filled with classical elements. As usual, starring a naked woman, La Pausa integrates symbols such as the teapot; an element, so inherent in the hiatus of European culture, as well as very present in the artist's day-to-day life. Also the window, as a symbol of reconnection with the environment and escape from the constant intrusion of our thoughts. A sacred moment that is masterfully portrayed in this friendly and pleasant composition.

Pere Lluís León lives in Premià de Mar, a small seaside town near Barcelona. He began his drawing studies at a very young age at a small private academy in Barcelona. Later, his undeniable vocation drove him to enroll at the Llotja School to study illustration. Subsequently, he studied drawing and painting at the Massana Arts School in Barcelona. Never losing sight of his clear vocation for graphic arts, he eventually moved to Paris, Brussels, and Rotterdam, where he alternated work with painting studies. Upon returning to Barcelona, he began working as a medical illustrator for laboratory advertising. He started collaborating with the Faculty of Medicine at Bellvitge, creating didactic anatomical illustrations for student research. It was then that he specialized in medical and surgical illustration, also collaborating with Clínic Hospital, Esperança Hospital, Vall d'Hebron, UAB, 12 de Octubre University Hospital, the Faculty of Medicine in Barcelona, Lapeyronie Hospital in Montpellier, as well as with professors, surgeons, and editors of medical books and specialized journals worldwide. Throughout his professional career, thousands of his illustrations have been published in medical books and scientific journals. Currently, he alternates his medical work with graphic design and painting.
