About The Artwork
During 2015-2016 I have created series of paintings “My dreams about India”. It was inspired by the Shiva Maha Purana. Two lakes are situated at the base of the Holy mountain Kailas. The higher lake Manasarovar is the sacred lake, a personification of purity. It is recognized with abundant names such as the ‘Lake of Compassion’ and also the ‘Parvati Sarovar’ solely because the history and the spirituality of this lake is connected to the Goddess Parvati. This lake is round like the sun. The lower lake Rakhast Tal is the devil’s lake and has the shape of the crescent moon. The two lakes represent solar and lunar forces, good and negative energies respectively.
