About The Artwork
I needed to be out of my normal routine of doing things which inspired me to try something a little different and allows things to happen authentically. It is so freeing to be open to new ideas to see what is possible. I hope the viewer can see that as well. It has layers of gesso and acrylic paint for texture. It is signed on the front and back. A frame IS necessary as this is a canvas panel board. There is no frame included. You will need to acquire one after delivery of your purchase. Varnish will be applied for protection and a finish. I am an abstract expressionist artist. I paint from raw emotion and release every ounce of my spirit into my creative endeavors. I studied Theater Arts and Design in New York. Painting is a medium that came to me later in my life. I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to express myself through abstraction. It's a delicious treat... sometimes decadent. I love the challenges that are presented as I contemplate new ideas, implement my thoughts and watch them become a reality. in addition, I love listening to guests who visit my studio and purchase my art. Thanks to my clients and collectors - both national and international I was able to fundraise for the Charlotte Arts & Humanities Council of Charlotte County (Florida). It was wonderful to be able to dance and paint for such a great cause and to celebrate the arts community through scholarships for students.
