ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This work was inspired by an Instagram post I saw of the Festival of Lanterns. I love the contrast of darks and lights, warms and cools. I like to think of this piece as a dedication to all those lost to Covid19. Lanterns like Souls rising up, eventually evolving into stars. The original photo had so many more lanterns that I had to edit. This is a mixed medium piece. I used pieces of torn colored tissue paper in the sky. There is a photo of what it would like like with a frame, but the frame is only for example it is not included with.
