Le Bapteme de la Solitude (aguas rosadas) draws upon the artists' experience in the vast expanse of the Mediterranean Sea along with the writings of Paul Bowles (specifically a short passage called 'Le Bapteme de la Solitude) to further his 'Horizon Lines' series and their meditations on solitude and the line. Using vintage Saharan indigo cloths, acrylic and oil paints on raw, stitched denim; the combination of found and drawn elements plays upon notions of place, time, craft and process to create minimal works with a profound sensibility to them. *This artwork can be shipped rolled and reassembled upon delivery!
