I love the paradox of rocks appearing as light as air. These human-shaped rocks serve as an allegory for trauma. Everyone experiences trauma in life—some are unforgettable and leave a lasting impact, shaping who we are. However, with time, trauma can become lighter. It begins to levitate, growing li...

Contact us.Olivier Secretan, born in Paris in 1984, is a contemporary artist known under the pseudonym “Ose.” From a young age, he was deeply influenced by the works of Pierre Soulages and Hans Hartung, which guided him toward painting.
Self-taught, Ose specializes in the stencil technique, creating detailed portraits of anonymous faces marked by intense life experiences.
During his first solo exhibition in 2019 at the Nicolas-Xavier gallery, he presented works created using selective rust with seawater, showcasing his innovative exploration of materials.
In 2022, after a period of personal rebuilding, Ose shifted his work toward representations of monumental levitating rocks, symbolizing resilience and transformation. His art constantly seeks to balance elegance, sobriety, and modernity, sublimating the organic essence of rocks while approaching figurative abstraction. In 2024, further pursuing his desire to express raw and authentic emotions, he transitioned from stencil to oil painting.
Today, Ose continues to explore human existence through works that confront viewers with timeless stones, delving into themes of painful memory and renewed hope.
