Bio: Jacques Soulas Jacques Soulas was born in France and grew up in Paris, where he studied ceramics and graphic design. In 1980, Mr. Soulas came to New Orleans and began attending the John McCrady Art School followed by The New Orleans Academy of Fine Arts.. He currently shows his work in the Degas Gallery in the Arts District of New Orleans Statement: "The still life is a genre that is very appealing to me. I find my inspiration in common objects found around the house as well as in my garden. Surrounding the main focal point, I add various decorative elements and repetitive patterns to complement and enrich the overall effect”
