About The Artwork

Let me tell you a story" takes place in a mythical, dark corner of a self made millionaire's house eschewing a dramatic moodiness. The Man :"There are two kinds of people in this world. Feminists and jerks." Me to myself : He is the embodiment of both a place and time, where the Old and the New meet. Man : " I grew up in a different landscape where it was so frustrating and exhausting to constantly navigate sexism." Me to myself : OMG Man : "Cause you’re right! At the end of the day it’s about basic empathy." Me : _________ Man : "Women are taught to be approved by everyone. So, if you are not approved by someone, that means there’s a problem with you, not them. Sorry for the rant (he said) but it's so frustrating! I am hopeful things will change sooner than later and society will be more equitable in the times to come." As I tried to tell my cynical self to not look for loopholes, I saw his wife walk in with some ice for his drink! He introduced her to me saying that she makes the best Potato curry.....
