About The Artwork
Inspired by the cycle of life especially in the forest, this painting immerses the viewer into the delicate balance between flora, fauna (especially birds), water and light. Drawn to the pops of colour found in nature, vibrant amongst the serene greens and neutrals, encouraged me to focus on these rich, luscious aspects. Having painted mainly with acrylic paints for many years, I have added another depth to the artwork by using oil-paints in the final layers. This offered the opportunity to slow down and spend time blending the colours, creating new exciting combinations.
