About The Artwork
The artist painted the Baccarat set of glaces on sunny Septembre day. She was inspired by the Dutch Golden Age art of still life, play of light and shadow depicting fragility and stability of the glass. The artist compares a lot the phenomena of glass with the spirit of a person. One can be fragile, but still very brave. The work is done only in watercolor, the reflections remain untouched, not a drop of awhite gouache. The work changes its contrast and warth under different light.
