The painting from the solo exhibition “Baroque, Dopamine and Meteors”, 2020, Vauxhall Palace Gallery, Krzeszowice. ___________ The work is sent together with exhibition catalogs. The artist includes catalogs from individual exhibitions with each original painting. ___________ A good summer rain is an imaginary dispute over the priority of discovery between Descartes and Snell. Commonly, with the exception of France, the latter is credited with discovering the law of refraction. The scene takes place within the range of a geometrical rainbow and a cubic parabola, on which water drops and reflections of rays circulate. The symmetrically repeated cubic parabola resembles the delicate transparent wings of an insect on which the light refracts. A young girl in a green sports outfit is safe here. Nobody experiments on her - in VR goggles, she calmly traverses the world of Baroque. __________ Canvas stretched on a wooden frame. The edges are finished in the tone of the painting. Ready to hang. In my paintings I try to combine the sphere of physis, sensual pleasure, biology, and colors with symbolic elements evoking ontological and metaphysical meanings. My canvas constitute a mixture of textural and flat painting; Working on paper, I apply various techniques; I also press some parts of my linocuts. I am fond of order, symmetry and classic skills. At the same time, in painting and drawing I use techniques that allow chance decalcomania, grattage, dropping. At the first stage of my creative work I am quick and spontaneous. Then, at the next stages, I tame chaos and introduce order. As a result, my paintings form multilayer phenomenon. The layer of colors, regions of colors interactions constitute the foundation of my paintings. The material layer consists of the specific techniques I applied, textures, and deposits of paints. The layer of represented objects includes figures like woman, boy, tree, rhino. The layer of meanings consists of a story that usually finds no final on the picture.
