About The Artwork

I believe lighthouses bring happiness. Unfortunately, the number of active lighthouses is decreasing. Soon they will serve as a decorative function. I decided to pay tribute to the lighthouses that have saved many lives. Pigeon Point Lighthouse is a lighthouse built in 1871 to guide ships on the Pacific coast of California. It is still an active Coast Guard aid to navigation. This is my second work where this lighthouse is depicted. This work is done on a gold background that looks great especially in the sun. The picture is painted with acrylic and varnished. The sides are painted.

I have been drawing since childhood and dreamed of becoming an artist. This story is often told by artists. But, I didn’t draw well. Nevertheless, I was in love with this occupation and never gave it up. I entered an economic institute, as my country was going through a difficult period and it was difficult for an artist to realize himself. At the institute I redrawn Dali, then Herluf Bidstrup's comics-caricatures. When my first child was born at the age of 25, for 3 years every summer I lived by the sea and often painted the steppe with gouache. I worked for many years in a bank, then in many companies in the IT industry. 2011 was a year of transformation for me. I left the business and completely immersed myself in oil painting. I studied from 2011 to 2013 in a private workshop with the famous Ukrainian artist Viktor Semenyak, studied painting through video tutorials, and since 2020 I have been taking private lessons from artist Valentin Cherny. I continue to study painting with different masters in oil, watercolors, study pottery, experiment in different styles, including the Fluid Acrilyc technique (liquid acrylic), studied digital drawing at the Art Craft studio (Kiev). I write stories. My story was published in the book "Birds". I have been participating in charitable projects for many years. I like to get excited about the creative process and its result. You seem to be in dialogue with yourself, capturing the main points on the canvas. And I am glad when someone reads my emotion from the canvas. I like to accumulate creative energy inside. The idea waits, stands, accumulates strength and sometimes I take the paint impatiently and the whole world goes to the side. You kind of get out of your body and splash everything on a white canvas. Sometimes pictures are created more difficult, through willpower, the brain. They are faded and stand for a long time until some idea comes up how to rewrite or revive the work. And then the warmth comes from the picture. The creation of paintings made me sensitive, I began to see and hear much more. The quality of my life has changed, as if someone showed me a brighter world behind the curtain of everyday life. I stopped having vivid dreams, as I began to lack brightness in my current life. In 2015, I opened an art studio TanyaSavaArt for painting with acrylics in the format “one picture in one lesson”. Has delivered over 500 lessons for professionals from other industries.
